Tom began playing guitar as a child in North London before moving to Cumbria, where he joined The Rock Project Carlisle at age 10—his first taste of performing live. By 14, he had formed his own band, The 45s, who went on to tour the UK and Europe, supporting acts such as The Stranglers, McFly, The Vamps, and Wilko Johnson. A highlight came when Wilko invited the band to perform on his farewell tour, later gifting Tom his own Telecaster on stage.
Tom studied music at LIPA in Liverpool, earning a First-Class Honours degree. He later reformed The 45s as Little Triggers, performing across the UK, Europe, and China, supporting artists like Iggy Pop and Marc Almond, and releasing acclaimed singles ahead of their debut album.
