Junior
Sessions

For ages 7-11
The Rock Project Junior sessions give young musicians a full hour of group tuition with up to five students, allowing them to develop their skills with plenty of guidance and support. Alongside learning their instruments, they take part in fun games, explore music theory, and then come together to rehearse as a band, building confidence, teamwork, and a love of performing.
What happens at the Junior Session?

ANY NEWS?
Each Rock Project Junior session begins with our 'Any News' segment, where students can share what they’ve been up to over the past week. It’s a great way for everyone to catch up and helps new members feel more connected with the group.

MUSIC THEMED GAMES
At The Rock Project, students enjoy music-based games that build coordination, teach new facts and theory, and encourage teamwork. These fun activities make learning engaging while helping students bond with their peers through a shared love of music.

PLUG & PLAY
The Rock Project’s plug-and-play setup allows students to get straight into playing their instruments without worrying about complicated setups. This gives them more time to focus on music-making, boosting their confidence, sharpening their performance skills, and enjoying the experience of playing together as a band.

MUSICMASTER QUIZ
At The Rock Project, our weekly interactive quiz covers everything from music theory and history to iconic bands and events. It makes learning fun while encouraging teamwork and friendly competition, helping students bond and build lasting friendships.

THE LESSON
The 2nd hour of the session is when you have a lesson in your instrument you can choose either Guitar, Drums, Bass Guitar or Vocals. If you have some favourite songs just let us know and if it's suitable we will try to fit it in!

END OF YEAR GIG
