Welcome to The Rock Project in Bristol and North Somerset. We are a national music school specialising in rock and pop, and teaching those aged 7+ guitar, bass guitar, drums and singing during two-hour after school sessions, with schools all across the region. As well as lessons, we also get them playing in bands and performing live on stage every year (please see pictures and video below).

We run three different sessions for 3 different age groups:

  • Juniors: ages 7-11 (primary school age)

  • Seniors: ages 11-18 (secondary school age)

  • The Rock Project Encore: our sessions for adults!

Below is some info about Andy, Tom and Rich who run the schools, and if you would like to be sent our full info including days/times, locations, fees and more details of what we do, please fill in our online form by clicking the Enquire Now button below. Once we have sent you the full info you can then book in for a FREE TRIAL SESSION!

Andy opened the North Somerset franchise of The Rock Project in October 2011 after leaving the RAF as an aircraft engineer, since then the schools have gone from strength to strength and Andy now also assists head office with the opening of new schools around the UK and abroad. Andy lives in Portishead and is married with two young children. Andy says: “I love what we do at The Rock Project, we have taught over a thousand students now over the years, and to watch their confidence and ability grow to be able to perform live on stage within their first year is a great achievement for both them and my team. If you are wondering if our sessions are for you, just come along for a free taster and meet the team and see for yourself!"
