Matthew, originally from The Midlands moved north of the border a good few years ago settling in the beautiful county of East Lothian.

Married to Catherine, who Matthew describes as his ‘beautiful scottish thistle’ they have 4 children. The eldest, Josh is a drum tutor at The Rock Project in North Berwick.

The first album he bought was Now That’s What I Call Music 2 which was on cassette which gave him hours of listening  pleasure  on  his  Walkman (an old type of Ipod) listening to classic bands like Culture Club, Queen and Big Country.

Seeing his own children growing up he realised that music can play an important part of a child’s all round education and can be a hugely positive influence in their development and is keen to share The Rock Project benefits with the young people of East Lothian.
