Derby Franchisees, Austin Goode & Louise Weekes

Austin Goode & Louise Weekes
Austin Goode is The Rock Project’s very own ‘rocketman’, having worked as an IT expert at the European Space Agency!
As well as being a technological whizz, Austin is a keen, self-taught guitarist who credits the likes of rock legends Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and Santana as his musical heroes. While Austin’s enthusiasm for playing guitar played second fiddle to his IT career, it did inspire his own children to take up music. With those children now grown-up, Austin hopes to encourage many more young people in Derbyshire to develop a love for playing music in a fun, creative and relaxed way.
Austin’s enthusiasm for playing music dovetails perfectly with his partner Louise Weekes, who has decades of experience working with children, making the couple a fantastic fit for The Rock Project team.
Having been a Scout leader, school governor, driving instructor, run youth clubs and worked with children in a residential setting, Louise has taught and guided children and young people of all ages. The ability to stay calm whether looking after 20 toddlers or taking a 17-year-old on their first driving lesson, Louise says the ability to watch young people grow, learn and develop has been the guiding light of her career.
