Ant Atkins

Ant has many years experience in  the music industry, having played both Guitar & Bass, supporting original bands & artists from the l960's & l970's, nationally and internationally.

 

This has included themed sixties and seventies music festivals and cruises, including the prestigious Beatles festival in Liverpool. He was a founder member of the Colchester band ‘Fat Old Dad’.

​

Ant can now be found paying Rock sessions with many of the best younger performers around - which makes the correct selection of his assistant tutors that much easier.

 

During his: long career he has played support to: Chubby Checker,  Lulu, Alan Price, Wayne Fontana. Tony Jackson, The Searchers, The Dakotas. Freddie and the Dreamers. The Swinging Blue Jeans, The Merseybeats. Dozey, Beaky Mick & Titch, The Roulettes, The Tornados. The Troggs, The Ivy League, Les Gray, Edison Lighthouse & The Tremeloes

 

He was once booked to play at a function for Rolling Stone, Charlie & his wife Shirley Watts!

 

Ant now wants to pass on his years of experience to Rock Project students in the Colchester and surrounding areas.
