It was discovered at an early age that music was going to be a big influence in Lisa's life. Numerous nights she was caught listening to Radio Caroline under her pillow or singing along into an upright vacuum cleaner, pretending it was a microphone stand! After many broken ornaments from swinging the vacuum lead around imitating Mick Jagger. Lisa 's parents thought that music lessons may be cheaper - this is when, at t he age of 9, her classical training began.
As a pianist the timing was perfect to transition into a keyboard player in the '80's. She 'was a member of many club and rock bands in the South of England, playing both covers and original material. She played various gigs from open air festivals for the 'British Motorcycle Association' (AKA 'The Hells Angels'!) to London's 'Epicentre of Rock', The Marquee. Lisa also worked as a session musician in studios such as 'The Crypt' used by Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart as well as other London based studios. She is also an accomplished Flugelhorn and Cornet player - playing in regional brass bands .
Over the last few years Lisa has been seen working as a sound engineer at many major music festivals or losing herself for a few hours playing her guitar.
in March 2017 'The Lisas' won The Rock Project Franchisee of the year award at the annual Rock Project conference. It was in recognition of the hard work they had put in during the previous 12 months, including travelling up to 500 miles a week across 3 counties, to deliver the Rock Project sessions to their students!
